History: Born in 1963 and named for Daytona Beach, the Cosmograph was built for racing — a chronograph meant to time laps, not meetings. Its movement lineage reads like a history of watchmaking: the early manually wound Valjoux, the 1988 Zenith El Primero-based era, and the milestone in-house calibre 4130 in 2000.

The watch: This edition profiles the latest generation, the 126500LN — released via the 2024 rollout, unworn, still in pristine condition. It pairs a white "panda" dial with three black subdials against the black Cerachrom ceramic tachymeter bezel, and runs the new calibre 4131 with a 72-hour power reserve and slimmer subdials than its predecessor.

In the news: Even at its 2024 retail price, the steel panda trades far above list on the secondary market, and boutique waiting lists run years long. An unworn 2024 example is the closest thing to stepping to the front of that line.
